VINODHAN KUPPUSAMY

Our Principal

Vinodhan Kuppusamy holds a distinguished academic background, having earned both a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Master of Laws in Commercial Law (with Distinction) from the prestigious University of Malaya. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2019. He is also an accredited mediator with the Malaysian International Mediation Centre.

His legal career began with a pupillage at Messrs Thomas Philip under the direct mentorship of the firm’s Managing Partner. In January 2020, just four months after being called to the Bar, Vinodhan founded this law firm, with a primary focus on dispute resolution. His practice areas include General Litigation, Commercial and Corporate Disputes, Debt Recovery and Restructuring, as well as Insolvency and Bankruptcy matters.

He has appeared as lead counsel at all levels of the Malaysian Courts and is equally accomplished in out-of-court settlements and advisory work.  Vinodhan currently serves as a member of the Malaysian Bar’s Civil Law & Law Reform Committee (Defamation Subcommittee), a role he has held since 2023.

A former champion debater and mooter, Vinodhan brings sharp analytical thinking and persuasive advocacy to every case. He is an accomplished international debate coach, regularly invited to judge and train at prestigious debate competitions across Asia and beyond.

Beyond legal practice, Vinodhan is an avid legal writer, publishing bite-sized legal insights on his firm’s website and across legal blogs.
